1000 Buddha Stupa

Stupa is a place of meditation and also memorial to people that passed away. This one is dedicated to Geshe Lama Konchog, modern day yogi that lived at Kopan monastery. The search for Geshe’s reincarnation is documented in movie called Unmistaken Child.

White Water

Very hard to photograph, but I would love to try. This is called Minden Wild Water Preserve, located close to Minden, Ontario. There is a training school there as well, if you’d like to try.

Praying Alone

I suppose I was not allowed to take pictures there, but could not resist. This is very interesting layout of a church, where every person is praying in their own cubicle. Also seeing a Nun praying all alone was very touching. The name of the monastery escapes me.

Welcome to Toronto…

G20 delegates… The usually friendly and welcoming city was turned into army camp for a weekend, so that …… (feel in the blank since I don’t really know the answer). The manager at Swiss Chalet told me his sales are down 40% this week. The key tourist landmarks (CN tower and Skydome) are closed for a weekend in the summer. I saw delegates hiding their G20 credentials as they were crossing to the other side of the fence, I am sure they feel welcome to the city. And don’t mention the $1Bn price tag.
